Dec 21, 2020
2020 has been an extremely challenging year for all of us and we, the team behind DEAR FUTURE CHILDREN, would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your incredible support through it all.
Around this time last year we launched this campaign on Kickstarter with the goal of raising 16,000€ for the production of our documentary feature film. Not only did we far exceed this goal, but we also gained an exceptional community that stands behind our joint project with impressive enthusiasm and has been able to support us far beyond the financial aspects in the past months.
This is our joint project, which you made possible with your support and thus also ensured that we could work independently and were given all the opportunities we needed to realise this film in the best possible way.
We started 2020 off strong and we have no plans to change that for 2021!
DEAR FUTURE CHILDREN has been nominated for the 42nd Max Ophüls Prize Film Festival and will thus celebrate its world premiere at one of the most prominent newcomer film festivals in the German-speaking area.
Dear Future Children is selected for the Max Ophüls Prize Film Festival
The renowned festival will take place entirely as an online edition from 17th to 24th January 2021. All films and supporting programmes, as well as the opening and award ceremony, will be shown on the festival's streaming platform.
Since the festival is specifically aimed at the German-speaking region, it is important to mention that the film programmes can unfortunately only be streamed within Germany. But you can be sure that there will be many more chances to see the film.
This is only the beginning of a strong festival circuit that will bring the film and all its messages to many cinema screens worldwide.
